Cascade Gold Akhal-Tekes

Home of the elite purebred stallion salam

Alav is a coming 6 year old purebred mare with lovely gaits, a sweet disposition and lots of type.  Alav would be a fabulous performance prospect and/or a perfect broodmare.  She has had a gorgeous colt by Freedom Run Farm’s stallion, Salam in 2008 and will be started under saddle over the winter.

Her name in Turkmen means “Fiery”, but that’s more her color than her temperament!

She is now in Massachusetts with her new owner and doing well.

Alav’s sire, Astrachan, is the #1 Elite stallion in the US and her dam, Anastasia have produced several lovely offspring, including Anika, dam of the top-rated foal in the 2002 US gradings.

Alav is a bright bay with 3 white socks, a white star and off-center snip.

Her full sisters, Anika and Alyeshka, have both matured into beautiful mares and have both produced very nice foals.
