We ended up getting quite a few things done in 2006. We had our first stall with a run finished and it’s very nice. We plan to do all the stalls that way, it just might take awhile! We did one long French ditch and decided that a ditch witch just won’t do it next time. We had to drag it with my tractor, as our soil is so heavy. The ditch has made a huge difference in that paddock over the winter though. We’re hoping to do another next summer. Of course, fencing is an ongoing task, and fence wizard Amrita Ibold did some fencing for us. Plenty more for future years though! We upgraded the arena footing also, with more rubber and sand. Sandra, one of our boarders, decided we needed a wash-rack and tack-room. So, I bought the supplies and she built it. It’s great—painted and everything! We couldn’t quite figure out how to put a bathroom in the barn though. Although the barn addition was supposed to be done by September, the end of the year came and went without it being done.
