Akhal-Teke Open House, 2005 |

Amrita hauled 2 horses and an extra 3 children down from the San Juan Islands for our Open House. We also had Mary Heller of Snohomish bring Arzuw (thanks to Wendy Connell’s trailering!). The weather started out terrible—pouring rain, cold and windy. We had our balloons up on signs, the chili and coffee on in the barn and lots of information out. We didn’t get all that many people showing up—most were friends and friends of friends, but we had a very fun day, playing with horses, dressing up in costumes and eating lots of good food. Next year we’ll advertise a bit earlier and maybe have the Open House a little earlier, in hopes of having nice weather. |
